I love writer's block. It makes me so very productive on the drawing side.

Because drawing is so very important to my future.

Well, I guess it is in a roundabout way...?

Since I'm home fir the summer, I figure I'll be doing a lot more of them. Like my webcomic Chippinku -- though much of the coloring for that will have to be (and is being) redone. Lavender -- I swear to the seven gods, if I don't finish it soon, I'll go crazy. I really want to get back to Serala, too. And a couple new things which have been floating around in my head, some new, some from way back.

There's also a DN fancomic I never got around to finishing. I think I will.

In the meantime, random bits of artwork shall have to suffice.

It's going slow. VERY slow. I only just finished chapter 3 to my satisfaction and am rewriting chapters 4 and 6 at the same time. 5, you ask? Who knows. I'll get to it when I find that missing part of my brain I was going to dedicate to its revision.

The good news is that, to my recollection, it's only these opening chapters that need so much attention. There are quite a few that only need minor revisions, and even a couple that shouldn't need to be touched at all.

I plan to spend a lot more time on revising than I have been. Especially with spring break coming up.

Here's another thing: I had planned, in all sincerity and with all possibility, to send it out in early summer. However, Fate has decided that I'll be leaving the country around this time, and I won't be back until late June. Not that leaving the country is an excuse, but taking classes and sightseeing all over Kyoto just might be.

And now, the big question: why bother posting this on deviantart? Because I have to post it somewhere. This isn't really for anyone else but me and the one or two people who actually know what Lavender is. I just have a habit of recording things like this. Maybe to make myself feel better about my failures and lame excuses. ^_^;;

Been watching a lot of Death Note, writing a lot of fantasy, and feeling majorly disappointed in my schoolwork.

But that's nothing new.

I'll be putting up stuff later. A parody, some character stuff... I forget what all I have. But I have it.

Okies, off to livejournal for a real update...

It's easier for me to draw lately than to write. So I've been going through some of my older, unfinished (also can be read as "done but crappily") stuff and making it look better.

I have two short stories and a novel I should be working on. And yet I'm doing stuff like this.

Anyway. Remember Lin, my crazy wood-spirit? He got tanner. ^_^ The old version is still up for those who want to see it. And if I ever get around to writing the short story I created him for, I'll put it up here, too.

A redone Gathaire head is next, guys. If I can get the hair right. >.<
